Besides fresh fruit, there’s another way to satisfy your sweet tooth at the farmers market. Angie Walker sells a variety of homemade cupcakes and cinnamon rolls and the selection changes weekly. Some of the popular cupcake flavors include strawberries and cream, triple chocolate, lemon creme, and white wedding cake. She started her home-based bakery business in 2012 and began selling at the market the following year. “Every week, I offer at least three flavors of cupcakes, one flavor of gluten-free cupcakes and four varieties of cookies, muffins and breads,” said the Angola resident, who also sells pies. In addition, Angie’s Cupcakes & Treats offers a variety of gluten free and vegan sweets.

The Angola Farmers Market is not just the place to get fruits and vegetables or your morning coffee. It is where we go to say "hello" to one another...to tell our friends how beautiful their babies are...to see the new dog and comfort a friend who has lost a dog. It is where we go, in my small town, to take care of one another. Every Saturday.
